COVID-19 Cases in Central Visayas

A. Epidemiologic Curve

The first case of COVID-19 in Central Visayas was reported on Morbidity Week (MW) 5. Since then, the region has 21,120 reported cases. Cebu City comprises 48% (10,025) of the total cases while Cebu province comprises 27% (5,714) of the total cases. Currently, there are 1,319 (6%) active cases (Figure 1).

B. Distribution of cases by Age Group and Sex

Majority (11,446 54%) of the cases were males. Age ranged from less than 1 year old to 101 year old, (Median=36 years old) and the most (5629, 27%) affected age group is 21-30 year old (Figure 2).

The first case of COVID-19 in Central Visayas was reported on Morbidity Week (MW) 5. Since then, the region has 20,775 reported cases. Cebu City comprises 48% (9,959) of the total cases while Cebu province comprises 27% (5,537) of the total cases. Currently, there are 1,673 (8%) active cases (Figure 1).

The first case of COVID-19 in Central Visayas was reported on Morbidity Week (MW) 5. Since then, the region has 20,359 reported cases. Of the cases detected, 3,256 (16%) were symptomatic. Currently, there are 1,626 (8%) active cases (Figure 1).

The first case of COVID-19 in Central Visayas was reported on Morbidity Week (MW) 5. Since then, the region has 19,708 reported cases. Of the cases detected, 3,237 (16%) were symptomatic. Currently, there are 1,297 (7%) active cases (Figure 1).
