TWENTY-SEVEN (27) NEW COVID-19 CASES IN CENTRAL VISAYAS, TOTAL CASES NOW AT NINETY-FIVE (95). NO REPORTED DEATHS; TOTAL DEATHS STILL AT EIGHT (8)

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00 pm today, two hundred eleven (211) test results, twenty-seven (27) of which are positive. This brings the total confirmed cases in the region to ninety-five (95).
Twenty-four (24) of the new cases are residents of Cebu City and again are contacts of previously confirmed cases detected through contact tracing activities. Cebu City now has a total of seventy-seven (77) cases. The other three (3) of the new cases are from Lapu-Lapu City. The total cases in the said city are now at seven (7). Mandaue City’s cases remain at three (3). Among the provinces, no new cases recorded in Bohol, Cebu and Negros Oriental. Siquijor remains to have no documented case of COVID-19.
The additional number of confirmed cases resulted in the further decrease of the case fatality rate or the percentage of deaths among those who are infected with COVID -19 from 11% to 8%. All of the new confirmed cases have negative to mild symptoms.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00 pm today, two hundred sixteen (216) test results which yielded twenty-eight (28) positive results including five (5) repeat tests of previously confirmed cases. This brings the total confirmed cases in the region to sixty-eight (68). No reported deaths today.
Twenty-two (22) of the new cases are residents of Cebu City and were contacts of previously confirmed cases. Cebu City now has a total of fifty-three (53) cases. The twenty-third (23rd) case is a resident of Mandaue City which brings the total cases in the city to three (3). Lapu-Lapu City’s cases remain at four (4). Among the component provinces, there were no new cases in Bohol, Cebu and Negros Oriental. Siquijor remains free from COVID-19.
The increase in the number of confirmed cases resulted in the decrease of the case fatality rate or the percentage of deaths among those who are infected with COVID-19 from 18% to 11%. The new reported confirmed cases all have negative to mild symptoms.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00 pm today, thirty-two (32) test results, all of which yielded negative. These results are all from new individuals. There was no repeat test done for a previously confirmed case. The total laboratory negative cases in the region still at twenty-two (22). There are no reported deaths, total deaths due to COVID-19 remains at eight (8).
As of today, Cebu City cases remain at twenty-five (25), followed by Lapu-Lapu City at three (3) and Mandaue City at two (2). Among the provinces, Negros Oriental remains the province with the greatest number of cases at four (4), followed by Cebu Province at three (3) and Bohol at one (1). Siquijor remains to have no case of COVID-19.
For the laboratory negative from the previously confirmed positive cases, Cebu City remains to have the highest number of cases that have already cleared the virus from their system. Fifteen (15) of the twenty-two (22) confirmed negative are residents of Cebu City, two (2) are from Mandaue City and one (1) from Lapu-Lapu City. For the provinces, Negros Oriental has two (2) with Cebu and Bohol Province with one (1) each.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00 pm today, one hundred twenty-two (122) test results which showed seven (7) new positive cases. This brings the total confirmed cases in the region to forty-five (45). There is an additional one (1) repeat negative from a previously confirmed case. We now have twenty-three (23) laboratory negative cases. We do not have reported deaths today due to COVID-19 here in Central Visayas.
The six (6) of the new cases are residents of Cebu City and were contacts of previously confirmed cases. Cebu City now has thirty-one (31) cases. The seventh case is from Lapu-Lapu City, which brings the total cases in the city to four (4). Mandaue City’s cases remain at two (2). There are no new cases from the provinces of Bohol, Cebu and Negros Oriental. Siquijor continues to have no reported cases of COVID-19.
With the additional laboratory negative of a previously confirmed case from Cebu, there are now two (2) cases that are already laboratory negative in the province. All other numbers remain the same.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00 pm today, seventeen (17) test results. There is one (1) positive result but this is a repeat test of an already confirmed case. Sixteen (16) results are negative which include a repeat test of a previously confirmed case. The total laboratory negative cases in the region increased to twenty-two (22). There are no reported deaths, total mortality due to COVID-19 remains at eight (8).
As of today, Cebu City cases remain at twenty-five (25), followed by Lapu-Lapu City at three (3) and Mandaue City at two (2). Among the provinces, Negros Oriental has the greatest number of cases at four (4), followed by Cebu Province at three (3) and Bohol at one (1). Siquijor remains to have no case of COVID-19.
