The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released as of 5:00 pm today, one thousand thirty two (1,032) test results. There is a total of two hundred forty (240) positive results, seven (7) of which are repeat tests of previously confirmed cases. This brings the total confirmed cases in the region to eight hundred sixty nine (869). The number of deaths with COVID-19 increased to thirteen (13) with one (1) recorded death from one of the municipalities of the Province of Cebu.
The additional mortality is a fifty eight (58) year old male with existing underlying medical conditions who presented with symptoms consistent with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) causing him to be brought to a private hospital where he was tested for COVID-19. Patient expired on the same date of admission.
The additional confirmed cases have further decreased the case fatality rate or the percentage of deaths among those who are infected with COVID-19 from 1.9% to 1.5%. It is still lower compared to the global average of 6.4%.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00 pm today, four hundred seventy-one (471) test results. There are thirty-seven (37) positive results which includes one (1) repeat test of a previously confirmed case. The total confirmed cases in the region is now at six hundred thirty-six (636). The number of deaths with COVID-19 increased by one (1) bringing the total deaths to twelve (12).
Twenty (20) of the new cases are recorded in Cebu Province, seventeen (17) of whom are persons deprived of liberty (PDL) from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC). The remaining three (3) are residents in the municipalities of the Province of Cebu. With these additional cases, there are now twenty-five (25) total cases in the province of Cebu. Cebu City also have nine (9) additional cases bringing its total number of cases to five hundred fifty-five (555). Mandaue City has five (5) new cases with the total cases in the city now at seventeen (17) while Lapu-Lapu City has two (2) additional cases bringing its total cases to thirty-four (34).
The additional death recorded for today is a forty-four (44) year old male from a municipality in the Province of Cebu. He had existing medical conditions aside from being diagnosed with COVID-19 infection.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00pm today, three hundred seventy-nine (379) test results. There are thirty-two (32) positive results, out of which are two (2) repeat tests of previously confirmed positive cases. This brings the total confirmed cases in the region to five hundred and twenty-seven (527). The number of deaths from those who are diagnosed to have COVID-19 increased to eleven (11) with the additional one (1) death recorded today.
There are twenty-five (25) additional cases from Cebu City bringing the total cases in the city to four hundred seventy-five (475). Lapu-Lapu City’s cases increased by four (4) which now has a total of thirty-two (32) while Mandaue City’s cases still remain at eleven (11). Among the provinces, Cebu Province has an additional case bringing the total cases in the province to four (4) There are still no new cases recorded in Bohol and Negros Oriental. Siquijor remains to have no documented case of COVID-19.
The new case in Cebu, who is also recorded as the additional death for today, is a seventeen-year (17) old male from a component city in the Province of Cebu. He had an existing medical condition that caused him to be especially vulnerable to infectious diseases such as COVID-19. We join his family in praying for his eternal repose and for his family’s strength in their bereavement.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00 pm today, four hundred and fifty-one (451) test results. There are seventy-five (75) positive results, with two (2) of the results being repeat tests of previously confirmed positive cases. This brings the total confirmed cases in the region to six hundred (600). There was one (1) additional confirmed case who cleared the virus in his system. This brings the total number of laboratory negative to twenty-nine (29). The number of deaths from those who are diagnosed to have COVID-19 remains at eleven (11).
There are seventy-two (72) additional cases from Cebu City bringing the total cases in the city to five hundred and forty-seven (547). Lapu-Lapu City’s cases remain at thirty-two (32) and Mandaue City’s cases still remain at eleven (11). Among the provinces, Cebu Province has an additional case bringing the total cases in the province to five (5). There are still no new cases recorded in Bohol and Negros Oriental. Siquijor remains to have no documented case of COVID-19.
The additional laboratory negative is a seventy-five (75) year old male who is already discharged from the hospital and has now completed his additional isolation. His recovery is welcome news to everyone in the region most specially to his family.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC SNL) has released, as of 5:00 pm today, four hundred twenty five (425) test results. There are forty three (43) positive results, three (3) of which are repeat of previously confirmed positive cases. The total confirmed cases in the region is now at four hundred and ninety-eight (498). Three (3) confirmed cases are now laboratory negative. Central Visayas has now twenty-eight (28) cases who have cleared the virus from their system. Number of deaths remains at ten (10).
All the new forty (40) additional cases are from Cebu City, the samples of which are from the contacts of those confirmed positive earlier from the different barangays in the city. The thirty nine (39) cases are residents of the city while one (1) is from the BJMP Cebu City jail. Total number of cases in the city is at four hundred fifty-one (451). No new cases from Lapu-Lapu City and Mandaue City as they maintained their cases at twenty-eight (28) and eleven (11) respectively. Among the provinces, no new cases are recorded in Bohol, Cebu and Negros Oriental. Siquijor remains to have no documented case of COVID-19.
The additional laboratory negatives are all from Lapu-Lapu City; a forty-four (44) year old female, a forty-eight (48) year old male, and another male who is forty-two (42) years old. They are advised once discharged to continue isolation for another two (2) weeks in their respective homes. The additional laboratory negative has increased the regional number to twenty eight (28) which is more than double the recorded deaths in the region.
